The LKV Animal Welfare App was developed to support the farmers of the LKV Bayern e.V. in their operational self-monitoring. Registration is easy with the HI-Tier login data, an extra activation is not necessary. In the app, farmers will find not only the menu items for recording the animal welfare indicators, but also a learning mode for the points body condition and lameness. With this quiz-like learning unit, the farmer can train his eye using example images and videos. In the two areas for recording (individual animal and herd) all the necessary animal welfare indicators are clearly listed. Here, too, there are high-quality comparison images and videos that can be used to better classify your own cows. The evaluation then takes place in the LKV herd manager. The farmer can also save and/or print out a document confirming the operational self-assessment that has been carried out.
